Oneworld member American Airlines is accelerating the phase-out of its older, less fuel-efficient Boeing 767s and 757s, thus avoiding unnecessary maintenance and fuel costs.
American Airlines has confirmed that its fleet of Boeing 767s (16 aircraft) will be grounded in May 2020, while the Boeing 757s (34 aircraft) will be retired between May 2020 and post-summer 2021 at the latest. These aircraft will be replaced with 787 Dreamliners and A321 XLRs. Photo: YouTube.
