For the first time, travelers will be able to fly within Sweden, as well as to the rest of the world, via the same airport. Together, SAS and Stockholm Arlanda Airport are ready to offer seamless and pleasant experiences for new and returning passengers.

SAS’ major expansion of domestic traffic is the result of a strategic partnership agreement with Braathens Regional Airways AB (BRA). Seven BRA aircraft will operate on SAS’ route network from Arlanda, with a gradual ramp-up starting in January 2025, enabling more destinations as well as more frequent flights.

On January 27th 2025, flights between Arlanda and Kalmar will be resumed, and a new route will debut between Arlanda and Halmstad. SAS has also launched the Arlanda – Sälen route and the Ängelholm/Helsingborg – Sälen route, both of which operate during the winter season.

To successfully meet the increased number of passengers, SAS and Swedavia are collaborating to ensure smooth journeys, both for those whose final destination is Arlanda and for those traveling onwards.

Furthermore, SAS is in the process of establishing another lounge, located near the security checkpoint. The aim is to provide travelers with a lounge within short walking distance, regardless of where their flight departs at Arlanda. The doors are expected to open in the first quarter of 2025.
