Iberia has increased capacity and frequencies on several destinations. Venice will see 3 additional flights per week, while Budapest, Athens and Prague will each add 2 new frequencies. Travellers heading to Vienna will also benefit from one additional flight. Capacity on flights to Rome will also increase, with some Easter flights operated by widebody aircraft typically used on long-haul routes.

This year Easter also coincides with the start of the summer season for the tourism industry, which begins on 29 March. On that same day, Iberia will launch its daily flight to Newark. Operated by the new Airbus A321XLR, this route complements the airline’s operations to JFK airport, offering a total of 3 daily flights to New York.

In addition, for the upcoming summer season Iberia has increased its capacity to Latin America by 7.6% in just one year and will offer more than 3.3 million seats. The airline is also offering a record number of seats to the United States, with a 19% increase compared with 2025.

This growth in seat capacity is part of the Flight Plan 2030, the company’s strategic roadmap for the coming years, aimed at positioning the Madrid hub at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport among Europe’s leading aviation hubs through an investment of €6 billion.
