Discover Airlines guests can now check out the onboard menu before departure and pre-order select meals. With this, the leisure airline also offers Lufthansa Group’s “Culinary Journey”, a service available to travelers on Lufthansa, Swiss, and Austrian since last year.

With the “Culinary Journey”, guests in all travel classes can view the full range of food and beverage options for their flight 42 or 28 days before departure and get in the mood for their trip.
Discover Airlines is rolling out the service in phases: Pre-orders are initially available on long-haul flights departing from Frankfurt and Munich for select meals in Business Class. On short- and medium-haul flights, Economy Class guests can pre-order fresh meals—and save 10 percent in the process.
Pre-orders can be placed up to 24 hours before departure. This ensures that guests receive their preferred meal on board, while pre-orders also help reduce food waste. An integrated feedback and preference feature also helps tailor the offerings even better to guests’ preferences.
The plan is to gradually roll out the “Culinary Journey” in line with the other airlines to offer travelers a seamless flight experience. The service is also available if guests transfer during their trip and fly with more than one Lufthansa Group airline.
