VIDEO / Delta Air Lines unveils centennial livery

Delta’s Centennial livery honors a century of innovation, resilience and the people who built Delta into the airline it is today. Revealed for the first time during Delta’s Centennial Gala on March 15, the livery features swooping details, a bold 100 emblem and first-ever silver supergraphic.

On March 2, 1925, the world’s first aerial crop-dusting company and largest privately-owned aircraft fleet in the U.S. incorporated as Huff Daland Dusters began carrying mail. One hundred years later, Delta is the leading global airline, owing that success to the resilient spirit and warm service of our people – the same attributes that will fuel our success and preserve our legacy for the next 100 years.

Delta hosted over 1,000 guests at its newly remodeled Delta Flight Museum to mark the moment of the airline’s Centennial. Attendees enjoyed a grand reveal of Delta’s newest livery and commemorative remarks by Ed and special guests as well as live entertainment from Jon Batiste and Vitamin String Quartet. Guests included Delta employees and retirees, sponsors and donors that helped fund the Flight Museum renovation, friends and strategic partners of Delta, customers, investors and former Delta leaders – including former CEOs Ron Allen, Leo Mullin and Richard Anderson.
