
On Friday, August 9th, at approximately 13:22 local time, an ATR 72-500 VoePass (PS-VPB, 14 years old) crashed near Sao Paulo, Brazil. It was operating flight 2Z-2283 from Cascavel to Guarulhos airport.
After impacting the ground, the ATR broke into several parts and burst into flames. The airline confirmed there were 58 passengers + 4 crew members on-board. Videos posted on social media show the aircraft dropping like a rock, possibly due to a stall.
