
The airline, which is based at Tashkent International Airport, has ordered two Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners equipped with GE engines. The first is registered UK78701.
Uzbekistan Airways serves 40 destinations and has a fleet of 34 aircraft, including 8 Boeing 767s and 6 757s.
Since entering commercial service in 2011, the Boeing 787 currently flies 350 routes, and is being used to open 75 new non-stop routes. To date, 66 customers worldwide have placed 1,161 firm orders for the 787 Dreamliner family.
