Thanking our amazing global audience for a strong start in 2024!

In just a few months (early April), Aeronews turns 13 years old. What started out as a hobby project co-founded by two experienced journalists and aviation enthusiasts – Mihai Ivascu and Teodor Stefan – has steadily grown into one of Europe’s leading aviation websites, with an organic monthly reach of over 35 million and almost one million followers across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and TikTok.

Following a strong January and an amazing take-off in 2024, we felt the need to pause for a bit and say a heartful ‘Thank you!’ to each and every one of our followers. Some of you have been supporting and following Aeronews since day one, others have joined along the way. Regardless of when you came ‘onboard’, we are immensely proud to have you in our global community and extremely thankful for your support.

Leading Aeronews’ growth in January was LinkedIn, where almost 294,000 aviation enthusiasts, industry professionals, company owners and executives are constantly interacting with us. Over the past 30 days, we’ve seen a 377% growth in unique visitors, 213% jump in new followers, 396% rise in post impressions and +425% button clicks.

Reactions were up 244% compared to December 2023, comments increased by 990% and reposts grew 894%. We also saw a 495% increase in page views.

When it comes to the location of our LinkedIn followers, France is leading the way – with Paris and Toulouse – followed by London, India, Turkey, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany and Canada. 30% of our LinkedIn followers are working in ‘Airlines and Aviation’, followed by ‘Aviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing’ (15%), ‘IT Services and IT Consulting’ (3.4%), ‘Defense and Space Manufacturing’ (2.5%) and ‘Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage’ (2.2%).

With 452k likes and 653k followers, our Facebook page also saw increases across the board. Last month, the page had a post reach of 3.1 million, 380k post engagement, 35k reactions and 80k photo views (all the numbers in this article are organic, not paid).

What’s on the horizon for 2024? Without revealing too many details now, we can only say there are some exciting Aeronews projects coming up around the world, while maintaining the same focus on aviation and quality we’ve had since day one.

Thank you!
