Further innovations include an intensified daily service between Zurich and Tokyo in the spring and fall months. And soccer fans will enjoy non-stop flights – multiple times a day in some cases – to US and Canadian destinations hosting matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) will begin its first-ever services to Poznań in Poland on 29 March 2026. The new three-times-weekly service will operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. Poland’s fifth-largest city stands on the Warta River and, with its university and its historic Old Town, is regarded as one of the most attractive in the country. The city also features a lively trade fair scene. So the new SWISS services from Zurich are aimed both at the business community and at leisure travelers who prefer to steer clear of the more familiar tourist trails.

SWISS will also newly offer its customers scheduled services to Rijeka in Croatia in the July and August peak summer months. Idyllically located on the beautiful Kvarner Gulf, the Adriatic port city boasts fine beaches and crystal-clear waters, along with appealing Mediterranean flair. SWISS will operate two weekly flights to and from Rijeka, on Mondays and Fridays.

More flights to popular European summer destinations

SWISS will be offering even more flights to popular existing leisure and business travel destinations in next year’s summer schedules in response to rising demand. Services from Zurich will be increased to a number of points including Alicante, Valencia, Manchester, Montpellier, Tirana, Budapest and Venice, with the last two of these receiving 28 and 29 weekly flights. Services from Geneva will have a particular emphasis on Greece and Portugal, two of the most popular destinations for vacationers seeking sun, culture and a Mediterranean mood.

SWISS non-stop to soccer’s World Cup

With 2026 the year of the next FIFA World Cup, SWISS will have a lot for soccer fans in next year’s summer schedules. In New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston and Miami, SWISS serves several of the coming tournament’s venues in the USA, daily or even several times a day. Toronto, a further 2026 World Cup venue, will also receive five SWISS flights a week from 26 April. “I am delighted that, with our long-established destinations in the USA and Canada, we’ll also be able to fly many soccer fans straight to their World Cup games,” says Heike Birlenbach.

SWISS will be expanding its Asia-Pacific services next year, too. Frequencies on the Zurich-Tokyo route will be raised to daily next April, May and October. Five weekly Zurich-Tokyo flights will continue to be offered during the rest of the summer timetable period.
112 destinations from Zurich and Geneva

SWISS will serve a total of 112 destinations from Zurich and Geneva in its 2026 summer schedules. Travelers from Zurich will be offered 70 European and 25 intercontinental destinations, while services from Geneva will extend to New York and 29 short-haul destinations.
