LOT Polish Airlines will fly to Heraklion, Crete

After Athens, Thessaloniki and Preveza, Heraklion – the capital of Crete – is the 4th Greek destination in the network of routes operated by LOT Polish Airlines. The WAW-HER route will be operated 3 times a week, with the inaugural flight taking off on 30th May 2026.

Passengers will be departing Chopin Airport on Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, with flight LO619 taking to the skies at 11:45 am on Mondays and Saturdays, and at 10:20 am on Fridays. Return flights (LO620) are scheduled to take off at 4:40 pm and 3:20 pm, respectively. This means that our guests will be spending 2 hours and 55 minutes aboard the hospitable planes of Poland’s national carrier.

“The Greek islands have been unwaveringly popular among Polish holiday makers for several years now, so the launch of this new destination was a natural step for us in the process of expanding our route network in the Mediterranean. In the summer, our passengers are looking not only for sunshine, but also for locations that inspire them to discover the beauty of nature and the richness of history. With the new route, LOT Polish Airlines will provide a convenient and fast connection to one of Greece’s most interesting regions. I have no doubt that the service connecting Warsaw and Heraklion will be the right choice for passengers craving the sunny holidays of their dreams,” said Robert Ludera, Registered Representative and Director of the Network Bureau at LOT.
