KLM flies to more than 160 destinations this summer

Starting this summer, KLM will operate flights to 161 destinations worldwide. Seat capacity is increasing by 4%, and the airline expects to carry approximately 6.4 million passengers in July and August. North America (+9% more flights) and Southern Europe are showing particularly strong growth, with 25% more seats to Portugal and Croatia.

KLM is introducing 6 new routes this season. On intercontinental routes, these are San Diego, Georgetown (Guyana), and Hyderabad (starting in September). Within Europe, Ljubljana, Exeter and Biarritz are added. Bookings for San Diego, Biarritz and Ljubljana are already showing strong demand.

Demand remains strong for European destinations such as London, Rome, and Berlin. For long-haul travel, passengers are choosing destinations including Tokyo, New York, Cape Town, and Curaçao.

KLM is increasing flight frequencies on these and other key routes:

Intercontinental:

Tanzania: Daily service to Kilimanjaro/Dar es Salaam (previously 5x per week)
Las Vegas: Daily through August (previously 5x per week)
Osaka: Expanded to 5x per week, with an additional flight from late September
Tokyo Narita: One extra weekly flight from late September
Edmonton: 5x per week, increasing to 6x during peak season
Cape Town: Two additional weekly flights from October
Curaçao: Additional Sunday flight from October

Europe:

Belfast: Twice daily
Porto: Four times daily
Barcelona: One additional daily flight
Split: Twice daily in spring and autumn
Krakow and Poznan: One additional daily flight
Milan Linate: To improve service efficiency, KLM will consolidate all Milan flights at Linate Airport, which is closer to the city center. As a result, flights to Malpensa will be discontinued.
