This new route complements existing service between Tokyo (Haneda) and Delhi, significantly enhancing convenience for both business and leisure customers, providing more options to travelers between India and Japan, including those connecting to and from other destinations within JAL’s expansive international and domestic network.
The route will operate alongside the current Narita-Bengaluru service, strengthening Narita’s position as a major gateway connecting these regions. Furthermore, an expanded codeshare partnership with IndiGo now includes JAL-operated flights between Japan and India, delivering seamless connectivity and enhanced travel options for customers flying between the two countries.
This network expansion is a significant milestone in JAL’s longstanding engagement with the Indian market, dating back to the first scheduled service to Delhi on May 4, 1965. For over 60 years, JAL has supported Japan-India relations, contributing to deepened ties between the two countries, and through this expanded service, JAL aims to further contribute to even deeper ties for the next 60 years.
