Passengers carried totaled 16.2 million, with a significant improvement in demand quality: the load factor reached 83.4%, an increase of 2.1 percentage points year on year. RASK (the indicator measuring revenue per available seat-kilometre) grew by 2.8%, confirming the effectiveness of the commercial optimization strategies adopted.

Long-haul operations once again proved to be the main growth driver of the network. In 2025, intercontinental revenues increased by 9.1%, with capacity up 6.1% and a load factor of 85.2%. This positive performance was supported by solid demand, an improvement in RASK (+2.9%), and network expansion, including the launch of a new intercontinental route in November.

In the domestic market, despite a reduction in capacity, ITA Airways achieved a marked improvement in profitability, with RASK up 17.5% and a generalized increase in load factors. The medium-haul segment was more affected by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East area, while nevertheless maintaining a load factor increase compared to the previous year. The performance of the Business Class was particularly positive, showing improvements across all sectors in terms of load factor, average fare, and RASK, with especially strong results on long-haul routes, where the load factor reached 85.9%.

At the end of 2025, the fleet consisted of 106 aircraft, of which 74 (70%) were new-generation aircraft, with an average age of 6.5 years, making it the youngest fleet in Europe. During the year, significant progress was also made in the integration process within the Lufthansa Group, with interventions on commercial processes, sales tools, and distribution models, in compliance with regulatory constraints, laying the foundations for development and the expected synergies in 2026.
