With this new and enhanced connectivity system, Iberia becomes the first Spanish airline to incorporate reliable satellite connectivity technology engineered by SpaceX. The system is designed to support multiple devices simultaneously and ensures a seamless experience for all customers. Connectivity is faster and more stable than traditional systems thanks to Starlink’s low Earth orbit satellite constellation, powered by thousands of satellites.
The new service will be free for customers in all cabins — Economy, Premium Economy and Business — and will provide a home-like connectivity experience, with speeds of up to 500 Mbps. This will enable high-bandwidth activities such as streaming live events, video calls, online gaming, simultaneous browsing and remote working. In addition, connectivity will be available throughout the entire travel experience, from boarding to arrival (gate to gate), delivering a smoother and more consistent digital experience onboard.
