This growth is part of the development of the 2030 Flight Plan, which continues to boost the expansion of the company through the incorporation of a new fleet and the opening of strategic destinations. In recent months, Iberia has received 6 new Airbus A321XLR, a long-haul model that has allowed it to strengthen its operations in North America and expand capacity in key markets. Thanks to this evolution, the company expands its presence in North America with the opening of Toronto, the incorporation of a new daily flight to Newark and the first full summer of the connection with Orlando.
9 destinations in the United States
In the United States, Iberia will operate a wide network of destinations with generalized capacity reinforcements, offering 15.81% more seats, up to 1,245,678.
New York also strengthens its connectivity with the incorporation of a new daily flight to Newark Liberty airport, which adds to the two existing frequencies to JFK. With this, Iberia will offer three daily flights between Madrid and the metropolitan area of New York, consolidating this market as one of the most strategic in North America. The new service to Newark is especially oriented to the corporate customer, since it allows more direct and agile access to the financial district of Manhattan, reducing travel times on short-stay trips for business reasons. During the summer, the total offer between Madrid and New York will reach 352,055 places, 43% more than last year.
For its part, Orlando stars in one of the main novelties of the network. This will be the first full summer of the route inaugurated last October with three weekly frequencies. During the summer season, the connection will operate three weekly frequencies and will have a total offer of 51,856 seats.
Boston consolidates two daily flights thanks to the incorporation of the A321XLR, as well as Miami that maintains the two daily flights; Dallas, Chicago and Washington will have a daily frequency; Los Angeles will offer up to one daily flight during the months of June, July and August; and San Francisco will have three weekly frequencies.
Iberia arrives in Canada
Toronto will mark a milestone for Iberia this summer by adding Canada to its destination map. From June 13, the airline will operate 5 weekly frequencies between Madrid and Toronto Pearson, with a total of 34,576 seats until the end of the season. With this incorporation, Iberia expands its presence in North America and strengthens the direct connectivity between Spain and Toronto.
