Bucharest Airports National Company (CNAB) announces the signing of the contract for design, technical assistance and execution of works to modernize the International Departures, Finger and Arrivals terminals at Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP), Bucharest.

The investment has 4 fundamental objectives to modernize the airport and increase the comfort offered to airport passengers.
One of the objectives aims to change and modernize the centralized ventilation-air conditioning system. The project provides for the replacement of ventilation and air conditioning equipment, the replacement of the equipment management server and the creation of a modern command, automatic control and data acquisition system.
Another objective is the interior renovation (finishing, flooring, ceilings, furniture, signage), in order to improve the imaging quality of Romania’s most important airport.
Moreover, the contract includes the installation of a new fire detection-signalling system.
Also, the electrical installations related to the spaces above will be modernized. The project provides for the modernization of the lighting of the terminals and the buildings, with LED lighting fixtures to be installed. At the same time, the number of power sockets for passenger devices will be increased.
The investment will take place over a period of 30 months, and the execution of the works will be carried out in stages, so that the passenger flows are operational, with the passengers’ discomfort being minimal. The contract has a total value of 22.6 million Euro and the financing source is provided by the Bucharest National Airport Company’s own funds.
