Yesterday, September 25th, saw the grand opening of Beijing’s mega-airport: Daxing International (PKX). For the moment, 7 Chinese airlines are operating out of PKX, with international carriers set to commence flights from October.

We’ve covered widely on Aeronews.ro (videos) and on our social media channels – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn – yesterday’s opening. As a reminder, the inaugural flight from the new airport was performed by China Southern Airlines with an Airbus A380 to Guangzhou. By spring 2020, flights from Beijing Daxing will cover 112 destinations around the globe. Currently, China Southern, China Eastern, Air China, Capital Airlines, Hebei Airlines and Xiamen Air are operating domestic flights from the new airport, with international carriers set to arrive next month.
