Starting in summer 2027, Discover Airlines will operate a total of 12 weekly flights to Windhoek from Frankfurt and Munich. This year, sister airline Edelweiss has also added non-stop service from Zurich during the summer months, further complementing the offering. Together, the Lufthansa Group is now operating more nonstop flights to Windhoek than ever before.
Flights from Frankfurt operate daily, while Munich service will run every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday starting next summer.
Flights depart Munich at 9:40 p.m. and arrive in Windhoek at 7:35 a.m. the following morning after a flight time of approximately 10 hours. Return flights depart Windhoek at 8:35 p.m., with scheduled arrival in Munich at 6:30 a.m. the next morning. All times are local. Flights will be operated with A330-300 aircraft, which will be progressively retrofitted with the new “Ocean Blue” cabin interior starting in 2027.
Windhoek was among the first destinations in Discover Airlines’ network when the airline launched in August 2021. Since then, the airline has continuously grown its Namibia service, steadily expanding frequencies over the years.
