A brand new addition: Minneapolis will be served 4 times a week by Discover Airlines from Frankfurt from May 2025. The connection was previously operated by Lufthansa. Flight time will be around 9 hours.

Minneapolis is centrally located in the Midwest of the USA and serves as an important transport hub between the east and west coasts. The region is also known for its unspoilt nature, over 10,000 lakes and the impressive Lake Superior, the largest freshwater lake in the world – an ideal destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

With Minneapolis, Discover Airlines complements its existing North American destinations, including Philadelphia, Orlando, Tampa Bay, Fort Myers, Las Vegas, Calgary, Halifax and Anchorage. Some connections to these destinations will be expanded. Departure times have also been optimized to better meet the needs of travelers.

In southern and eastern Africa, Discover Airlines is continuing to focus on the popular destinations of Mauritius, Windhoek, Victoria Falls, Mombasa, Zanzibar and Kilimanjaro. Punta Cana and Cancún in the Caribbean will also be served twice a week from Frankfurt in the summer beyond the winter.

Long-haul flights from Munich

From summer 2025, Discover Airlines will also be launching long-haul flights from Munich, stationing two Airbus A330s at Germany’s second-largest hub. The 3 new destinations Orlando (from 3 March), Windhoek (from 1 April) and Calgary (from 12 April) have never before been accessible by direct flight from Munich, or were last accessible many years ago. Discover Airlines is thus further expanding its presence as the largest holiday airline in Munich. All flights depart from Terminal 2.
