<p>Two years ago we&#8217;ve been to Dubai Airshow to witness, first-hand, the global debut of Emirates&#8217; new cabins for the Boeing 777-300ER. The highlight of the debut was the new First Class private suite, a game-changer product <a href="http://iconicstays.com/onboard-emirates-new-first-class-boeing-777-300er/">we&#8217;ve reviewed 4 months later, in March 2018 to Brussels and back (video)</a>.</p>
<p>Dubai Airshow 2017 also saw the debut of the new Business Class &#8211; which we&#8217;ve also sampled on the flights to BRU and back &#8211; as well as a new Economy Class and upgraded IFE. At this year&#8217;s Dubai Airshow we&#8217;ve experienced the new Business Class again on-board the 777-300ER on static display, so here are our thoughts on the product.</p>

<p>Back in November 2017, Sir Tim Clark, President Emirates Airline, stated: &#8220;The in-flight experience is the heart of our brand and service proposition. The new 777 interiors that we are unveiling today are part of Emirates’ ongoing investment to continually raise the bar and exceed our customers’ expectations. Aside from our new fully enclosed First Class, Business Class features our latest fully-flat leather seats with personal minibars, Economy Class seats have adjustable full leather headrests, and the in-flight entertainment system has been upgraded for all cabin classes. Throughout the aircraft, our customers will see modern and airy cabins, with painstaking attention to detail evident in design touches such as the textured wall &amp; ceiling panels, lighting features and more.”</p>

<p>As a reminder, the new First Class private suite for Boeing 777 echoes several design lines found in Mercedes-Benz&#8217;s S-Class flagship limousine. The collaboration with MB is no coincidence as both Emirates and MB are at the forefront of their industries, setting the standard through innovation, latest technologies and customer-oriented products. The partnership between the airline and the car manufacturer inspired several design details in the new First Class private suite, including the soft leather seating, high-tech control panels, and mood lighting. Moreover, Emirates&#8217; First Class passengers arriving or departing in the UAE enjoy a complimentary chauffeur-drive service from aircraft to home and vice versa in a Mercedes-Benz S-Class.</p>

<p>The ties with the automotive industry don&#8217;t end here as they continue also in the new Business Class cabin. Emirates says that the design and shape of its new Business seat on-board the 777 was inspired by the interior of a modern sports car, with a diamond stitch pattern on the full leather cover, ergonomically designed headrest, and a sleek overall look and feel. The seat has a pitch of 72 inches (183 cm) and moves into a fully flat sleeping position. It also has touchscreen controls for the seat and in-flight entertainment system, several personal lighting options, privacy panels between seats, a shoe stowage area, footrest, and a personal mini-bar.</p>

<p>Currently, Emirates has 155 Boeing 777s in commercial service (cargo and passenger versions) plus 126 777X on-order. At last month&#8217;s Dubai Airshow, Emirates placed<a href="https://aeronewsglobal.com/emirates-places-a-firm-order-for-50-airbus-a350-900-jets/"> an order for 50 Airbus A350-900s</a>, as well as <a href="https://aeronewsglobal.com/emirates-firms-up-us8-8-billion-order-for-30-boeing-787-9s/">30 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners</a>. The new First Class private suite can be found on 9 Boeing 777-300ERs, which boast the following layout: 6 First, 42 Business and 306 Economy Class seats. The new Business Class can also be found on 10 Boeing 777-200LRs (38 Business seats and 264 Economy), but in a different layout compared to the 777-300ER: 2-2-2 versus 2-3-2. The clear advantage brought by the Longer Range is that every passenger travelling in the new Business cabin has direct aisle access. As you already know, Emirates&#8217; Premium Economy product will be presented in April 2020 at Arabian Travel Market, Dubai and <a href="https://aeronews.ro/emirates-premium-economy-will-debut-on-the-a380-in-november-2020/">will debut on the Airbus A380 in November 2020</a>.</p>

Total cost of the refurbishment, which has been completed 3 months ahead of schedule: over US$150 million. On the 777-200LR there is no First Class, but the Ghaf tree &#8211; considered the national tree of the United Arab Emirates, and a signature design on the latest Emirates aircraft &#8211; is also present on-board the Triple Seven.</p>

The Engineering team spent over 160,000 man hours on the refurbishment project, working with more than 30 suppliers and handling over 2,700 spare parts. On average, it took about 35 days for the team to completely strip and reconfigure each Boeing 777-200LR.</p>

<p>If you want to experience the new Business Class on the 777-200LR you can do that also on flights to Porto, a route opened this summer. After spending a few days at Dubai Airshow this November, we&#8217;ve flown to OPO with Emirates, flight EK197. The chauffer-drive from our hotel in Dubai to DXB airport, Terminal 3 &#8211; used by Emirates and flydubai (for some destinations) &#8211; was in a BMW 5 Series. It&#8217;s worth mentioning that for some destinations (<a href="http://iconicstays.com/onboard-emirates-new-first-class-boeing-777-300er/">see the First Class flight we took last year to Brussels and back</a>), Emirates also offers complimentary chauffer-drive from the airport to the hotel, as well as from the hotel to the city&#8217;s airport on the return flight.</p>

As it was early in the day, the dedicated First and Business Class check-in counters were mostly empty. We didn&#8217;t use them as we&#8217;ve already checked-in online and only had cabin baggage, so we breezed through security, then headed towards the huge Business Class lounge to unwind before boarding.</p>

That&#8217;s why it&#8217;s best to spend a few seconds and consult the board at the lounge entrance to have a clear picture of the lounge&#8217;s areas: Moet &amp; Chandon Champagne Lounge &#8211; it&#8217;s never too early for champagne, right? &#8211; children&#8217;s Play Room, smoking lounge, Quiet lounge, Fine Dining, Costa Coffee, Health Hub, Timeless Spa, prayer room, mother &amp; baby care, and Skywards Desk. For aviation enthusiasts, who always want to photograph planes parked at the gate from the best angle, the lounge offers good views, although the textures on the large windows and the architecture of the lounge, with its design elements, get in the way of getting a great shot of the aircraft.</p>

<p>Having flown several times with Emirates in the previous 777 Business Class product, we think that the new one feels more polished, more refined and with better attention to details, regardless where you look. On-board the 777-200LR, the seats are 2 inches (5 cm) wider, improving &#8211; even if by a bit &#8211; comfort on long-haul flights. Also on the 777-200LR, the overhead bins in the centre of the cabin have been removed for an airier and more spacious feel. Design-wise, the new Business Class colour scheme is more elegant, more refined than the old one, with champagne coloured finish and diamond stitch pattern on the full leather cover for the seats plus the ergonomically designed headrest first unveiled on the 777-300ER.</p>

<p>We also like the fact that Emirates tried to replicate the on-board bar from its Airbus A380s to the 777-200LR, which boasts a social area in Business Class (not present on the 777-300ER). The mini lounge area features snacks, sandwiches and fruits, as well as beverages for passengers to help themselves to during the flight should the mini-bar found at every seat won&#8217;t be enough. More than this, the social area is a nice touch and a subtle invitation from Emirates to passengers to socialize, make new friends or business connections while the aircraft is cruising at 40,000 feet.</p>

Each in-seat screen features ultra-wide viewing angles, a capacitive touch screen, LED backlight and full HD display, providing improved image quality and a richer, more immersive viewing experience. At 23 inches (59 cm) wide, these are the largest screens in Business Class, while the screens in the new First Class private suites are 32 inch (82 cm) wide.</p>

To help passengers plan their trip more effectively, Emirates introduced a new function on its app to allow customers to browse the expansive entertainment catalogue, create bespoke playlists ahead of their flight and then sync it to their seats once they arrive on-board. The youngest passengers are catered for with a large selection of children’s movies and TV channels. <em><strong>ice</strong></em> also features varied content such as Emirates’ own Food and Wine Channels giving customers a behind-the-scenes look at how it creates its onboard menus, expert-led LinkedIn Learning courses and uTalk language lessons for beginners. <strong>Photos</strong>: Teodor Stefan / Aeronews, Emirates.</p>

<p>Despre Boeing-urile 787-9 Turkish Airlines am vorbit in repetate randuri pe Aeronews.ro si pe Facebook + Twitter. Un scurt reminder: <a href="https://aeronews.ro/oficial-turkish-airlines-comanda-30-de-boeing-uri-787-9-dreamliner/">TK a comandat 25 de unitati + 5 optiuni</a>, iar pana acum a receptionat doua Dreamlinere: <a href="http://aeronews.ro/video-primul-787-9-dreamliner-turkish-airlines-a-fost-livrat-al-doilea-a-fost-vopsit/"><strong>TC-LLA</strong> a ajuns la IST pe 26 iunie</a>, iar <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Aeronews.ro/posts/2320120121397408"><strong>TC-LLB</strong> a sosit pe 11 iulie</a>. Inca doua 787-9 trebuie sa soseasca in aceasta luna (<a href="https://www.facebook.com/Aeronews.ro/posts/2325603057515781"><strong>TC-LLC</strong> a efectuat deja primul zbor</a>) si doua in august. Initial, TK zboara cu 787-9 intre Istanbul si Antalya <a href="http://aeronews.ro/din-8-iulie-turkish-airlines-va-zbura-cu-boeing-787-9-dreamliner-in-antalya/">de cel putin doua ori / zi pentru familiarizarea echipajelor</a>, iar primul zbor lung-curier va avea loc pe 17 iulie spre Denpasar, Bali. Daca nu intervin schimbari, <a href="http://aeronews.ro/astazi-zbor-vip-boeing-787-9-dreamliner-turkish-airlines-pe-28-09-ar-putea-veni-la-bucuresti/">pe 28 septembrie vom vedea un 787-9 Turkish si la Bucuresti</a>.</p>

<p><strong>Noul Business Class pentru 787 si A350</strong></p>
<p>Noua clasa Business Turkish Airlines a debutat pe Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner si va fi regasita si pe Airbus-urile <a href="http://aeronews.ro/turkish-airlines-confirma-60-de-airbus-uri-a350-900-si-boeing-787-9-dreamliner/?fbclid=IwAR1wtmI_c13tDq9spUzO0OYbtwy4PO3LbQqeWlj1mQn2_QAhxRArzgxIndI">A350-900 (25 comanda ferma + 5 optiuni)</a>. Realizate de Stelia Aerospace, noile fotolii Business Class ofera un seat pitch de 44 inci (1,11 metri), devin paturi complet plate si au panouri despartitoare (in cazul locurilor din mijloc, layout 1-2-1) pentru a oferi intimitate maxima pasagerilor.</p>

<p>Alte caracteristici ale noului Business Class TK: mai multe spatii de depozitare, lumini integrate pentru citit si o masuta generoasa. Ambianta premium este accentuata de insertiile de Alcantara, material regasit la automobilele sportive. Fiecare pasager din Business Class se bucura de acces direct la culoar, iar sistemul de divertisment la bord dispune de ecrane Full-HD cu diagonala de 18 inci (45 cm).</p>

<p><strong>Istanbul-Antalya, zborul TK2410</strong></p>
<p>Pe 9 iulie, am ajuns dimineata devreme la Istanbul venind din Bucuresti cu un Airbus A321. Dupa aterizarea pe noul aeroport urias am rulat aproape 15 de minute pana la terminal, de unde ne-am indreptat catre zona Zboruri interne si poarta pentru Antalya. Boeing-ul 787-9 Dreamliner nu era parcat acolo, ci la alta pozitie, departe de terminal, astfel ca am fost dusi la avion cu autobuzul. Zborul <strong>TK2410</strong> spre Antalya a avut un load factor de 100%, la fel ca si zborul de seara <strong>TK2421</strong> operat tot cu 787-9.</p>

<p><strong>Ambianta eleganta pentru noul Business Class</strong></p>
<p>Dupa ce am fotografiat aeronava din exterior, am ajuns in cabina Business, unde am fost intampinati de insotitorii de zbor cu un zambet larg. Prima impresie: noul Business Class Turkish Airlines arata bine ca design, cu linii fluide, forme elegante si o combinatie reusita intre materialele folosite, motivele alese, specifice turcesti (laleaua nu lipseste din imaginile care se succed pe monitoarele largi) si calitatea finisarilor. Unii ar putea considera noua cabina Business prea inchisa la culoare, insa accentele portocalii (pernele si centurile de siguranta cu prindere in 3 puncte) fac ca aceasta senzatie sa dispara dupa cateva minute petrecute la bord. De precizat ca si clasa Economy este noua, layout 3-3-3. Contactul cu aceasta a fost scurt, cateva minute pentru a face fotografii, asa ca revenim la impresiile din Business Class.</p>

<p><strong>Design atragator, dar cu un inconvenient pentru avgeeks</strong></p>
<p>Atat pe zborul spre Antalya, cat si pe cel retur am avut locul 8K, un loc la geam. Desi ne place designul rotunjit al noilor fotolii Business realizate de Stelia Aerospace, partea superioara aduce un inconvenient major, mai ales pentru pasionatii de aviatie care vor sa priveasca afara in timpul zborului si sa faca fotografii: obtureaza jumatate din geam. Pentru a privi in exterior, este nevoie sa te inclini inainte si sa intorci putin capul, lucru care poate deveni obositor, mai ales pe zborurile lung-curier. Locul din fata, 7K, oferea o mai buna vizibilitate in exterior, insa este amplasat langa culoar, deci mai putina intimitate decat 8K, unde scaunul este pozitionat imediat langa geam. Recomandarea noastra este sa alegeti <strong>6A</strong> sau <strong>6K</strong>, cele mai bun locuri din Business Class-ul 787-9 Dreamliner TK daca vreti ca geamul sa nu fie obturat.</p>

<p><strong>Sistemul de divertisment la bord si fotoliile lie-flat</strong></p>
<p>Zborul IST-AYT a durat 53 de minute, in timp ce cursa AYT-IST a durat 56 de minute. De precizat ca rularea de la terminal spre pista de decolare, atunci cand am plecat din Istanbul spre Antalya, a fost de 20 de minute, noul aeroport fiind urias. Chiar daca a fost vorba despre doua zboruri care au trecut extrem de repede, am avut timp sa ne jucam putin cu sistemul de divertisment la bord. Acesta se misca foarte bine din punct de vedere al feedback-ului si nu am reusit sa-l prindem in off-side pe durata utilizarii, desi am incercat acest lucru cu comenzi rapide. Selectia de filme, muzica, documentare este mai bogata decat la alte companii europene care au 787 Dreamliner in flota, astfel ca pe un zbor lung-curier cu siguranta nu va veti plictisi.</p>

<p>Telecomanda cu touch screen este pozitionata in stanga scaunului (in cazul nostru, 8K), sub cotiera, sub comenzile pentru fotoliu. In partea superioara a scaunului, la nivelul umarului, se afla un spatiu de depozitare pentru diferite obiecte, spatiu acoperit de o usa glisanta, unde exista si port-urile USB si prizele pentru incarcarea device-urilor personale. Am coborat scaunul si in pozitia lie-flat (complet plat) pentru a vedea gradul de confort atunci cand vrei sa te odihnesti sau sa dormi. Senzatia de intimitate garantata de design-ul scaunelor se pastreaza, fiind chiar mai accentuata atunci cand esti la orizontala, iar spatiul pentru picioare este suficient chiar si pentru persoanele inalte (subsemnatul are 1,83 metri). Ne-a placut optiunea &#8220;<strong>Do not disturb</strong>&#8220;, activata prin apasarea unui buton, pentru a nu fi deranjat pe durata odihnei.</p>

<p><strong>Antalya-Istanbul, zborul TK2421</strong></p>
<p>Ca si la Istanbul, pe aeroportul AYT am ajuns la aeronava cu un autobuz, iar in timpul imbarcarii am avut timp sa facem cateva fotografii la apus cu motoarele GEnx si cu aripa inconfundabila a Boeing-ului 787 Dreamliner. Am lasat soarele Antalyei in urma si am aterizat pe IST la amurg, in timpul rularii spre terminal (din nou 20 de minute) trecand pe langa turnul de control a carui forma aminteste de o lalea.</p>

<p><strong>Business Lounge-ul TK din Istanbul</strong></p>
<p>Inainte de zborul retur spre Bucuresti, am petrecut cateva ore in noul lounge Business Class Turkish Airlines. Este impresionant, iar fotografiile de mai jos arata acest lucru. Lounge-ul ofera 12 apartamente private unde te poti odihni (principiul este &#8220;primul venit, primul servit&#8221;) daca ai escala cuprinsa intre 4-9 ore si daca zborul lung-curier este mai lung de 8 ore, simulator de golf, zone de relaxare cu fotolii si paturi unde poti dormi, zona dedicata copiilor, camere pentru intalniri de afaceri, Concierge, o galerie de arta, cinema si multe alte optiuni pentru o escala reconfortanta. Daca aveti ocazia, acest lounge merita incercat macar o data!</p>

<p><strong>1 iunie, Varsovia-Miami, zborul LO29</strong></p>
<p>Am decolat din Bucuresti dimineata devreme, zborul LO644 operat cu Embraer-ul 195 (SP-LNH), si dupa o ora si 30 de minute am aterizat la Varsovia. Ceremonia pentru deschiderea rutei WAW-MIA urma sa inceapa la poarta de imbarcare la ora 11:00, asa ca am petrecut cateva ore in Business Lounge-ul Mazurek, unde ne-am intalnit cu alti jurnalisti si cu oficialii LOT. Asa cum era de asteptat, atmosfera la poarta de imbarcare spre Miami era una destinsa, de vacanta, buna dispozitie a celor prezenti fiind accentuata si de elementele exotice de decor aduse de cei de la LOT: o plaja artificiala, palmieri, sezlonguri si hit-ul lui Will Smith &#8220;Miami&#8221;.</p>

<p>Dupa taierea panglicii, poza cu echipajul si scurte discursuri sustinute de oficialii LOT Polish Airlines, ne-am imbarcat in avion. Boeing-ul 787-8 Dreamliner SP-LRF &#8220;Franek&#8221; (LOT mai are sapte 787-8 si sase 787-9, <a href="http://aeronews.ro/lot-polish-airlines-zboruri-spre-vietnam-al-6-lea-787-9-dreamliner/">cel mai nou, SP-LSF, fiind livrat pe 5 iunie</a>) urma sa ne duca la Miami in Premium Economy. Propulsat de motoare Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 si livrat pe 30 aprilie 2014, acest 787-8 ofera 18 locuri la Business Class, 21 in Premium Economy si 213 in Economy.</p>

<p>Desi am decolat cu 30 de minute intarziere (festivitatile de la poarta de imbarcare s-au prelungit), am ajuns in Miami cu 15 minute inainte de ora programata, zborul durand 10 ore si 40 de minute. Norii au lipsit deasupra Groenlandei, asa ca am putut fotografia din nou de la 39.000 feet / 11.900 metri aceasta parte fascinanta a lumii. Load factor-ul pe zborul inaugural a fost de 95%, in timp ce zborul LO30 cu care am venit pe 3 iunie a avut un LF de 90%. Dupa aterizarea in Miami, inainte sa parcheze la terminal, &#8220;Franek&#8221; a fost intampinat cu traditionalul salut al tunurilor cu apa.</p>

<p><strong>3 iunie, Miami-Varsovia, zborul LO30</strong></p>
<p>Dupa doua zile pline petrecute in Miami, cu activitati interesante in zone emblematice ale metropolei (un articol dedicat, in curand pe iconicstays.com), am revenit la Aeroportul International MIA in seara zilei de 3 iunie pentru zborul retur spre Varsovia, zbor in Business Class. Acesta urma sa fie operat cu Boeing-ul 787-8 Dreamliner SP-LRC, aeronava livrata pe 16 mai 2013. Am decolat din Miami la apus, inainte ca o furtuna sa se abata asupra orasului si, cu exceptia unor turbulente moderate de-a lungul Coastei de Est a Statelor Unite, zborul peste Atlantic a decurs normal. Business Class-ul LOT Polish Airlines are un layout 2-2-2, iar fotoliile devin paturi complet plate lungi de 2 metri. Dupa un zbor de 9 ore si 25 de minute, am aterizat la Varsovia pe 4 iunie, cu 25 de minute inainte de ora programata.</p>

In 2019, LOT va receptiona inca un Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner si va depasi pragul celor 10 milioane de pasageri transportati. <p>Zborul <strong>AC1929</strong> Bucuresti &#8211; Montreal a fost operat cu Boeing-ul 767-300ER (<strong>C-FMWQ</strong>). Avionul (23 de ani) a intrat in flota Air Canada Rouge in iunie 2014 si ofera 24 de locuri in Premium Rouge (Premium Economy) si 256 in Economy. Propulsia este asigurata de doua motoare PW4000. <a href="http://aeronews.ro/din-iunie-2018-air-canada-rouge-va-zbura-din-toronto-si-montreal-la-bucuresti/">Air Canada Rouge a inceput sa zboare la Bucuresti pe 7 iunie</a> din Montreal si din Toronto incepand cu 9 iunie. Rutele sunt operate sezonier pana in octombrie si vor fi reluate in iunie 2019 dupa acelasi orar (cursele au fost incarcate deja in sistem, asa ca puteti rezerva biletele).</p>

<p>Pasagerii Premium Rouge au incluse in pretul biletului urmatoarele beneficii: doua bagaje de cala a cate 32 kg, priority check-in si boarding, acces in Maple Leaf lounge, spatiu suplimentar (+17 cm spatiu la picioare) si spatare care se inclina mai mult comparativ cu scaunele din Economy, respectiv un iPad pentru accesarea wireless a sistemului de divertisment la bord.</p>
<p>Din primavara acestui an, Airbus-urile A319 Air Canada Rouge ofera Wi-Fi la bord, instalarea sistemelor necesare pentru conectivitate deasupra noriulor urmand sa inceapa si pe A321 din toamna. Pana la mijlocul anului viitor, Air Canada Rouge va oferi Wi-Fi si pe Boeing-urile 767 din flota. Ca entertainment la bord, pasagerii au la dispozitie show-urile favorite si numeroase filme ce pot fi accesate prin intermediul app-ului Air Canada, pe care trebuie sa-l descarcati pe telefon inainte de zbor. Daca nu aveti un device, iPad-uri pot fi inchiriate pentru 10 dolari.</p>

<p><strong>Montreal &#8211; Vancouver cu Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner Air Canada</strong></p>
<p>Dupa o escala de doua ore in Montreal a urmat zborul Air Canada <strong>AC309</strong> spre Vancouver. Acesta a fost operat cu Boeing-ul 787-8 Dreamliner (<strong>C-GHQY</strong>) vopsit in vechiul livery. Gratie unui upgrade primit la poarta, am zburat catre Vancouver in Business Class. Produs la uzina Boeing din Charleston si livrat companiei Air Canada in februarie 2015, Dreamliner-ul respectiv ofera 20 de locuri la Business Class, 21 in Premium Economy si 214 in Economy.</p>
<p>Sistemul de divertisment la bord Air Canada enRoute ofera numeroase optiuni: filme produse la Hollywood si Bollywood, seriale TV, jocuri, muzica si podcast-uri. In total, pasagerii au la dispozitie 150 de filme, 200 de programe TV si selectii audio, inclusiv 100 de albume muzicale, playlist-uri si carti audio ce pot fi accesate din momentul pushback-ului si pana la ajungerea la poarta, pe aeroportul de destinatie. Conectivitatea este completata de prizele integrate in scaun (pentru toate scaunele din Business Class si Signature Class si doar la unele din Economy) si port USB.</p>

<p>Internet-ul la bord este oferit in colaborare cu Gogo, iar pasagerii pot selecta una dintre optiunile disponibile: 6,50 dolari canadieni pentru o ora, 21 de dolari canadieni pentru tot zborul sau abonament lunar 65,95 dolari canadieni. Pana pe 31 august, Air Canada are urmatoarea promotie: 5 dolari canadieni pentru o ora de Internet la bord. Intreaga flota widebody (95 de avioane) va fi echipata cu Wi-fi pana la mijlocul anului viitor, 90% din flota narrowbody, adica 190 de avioane monoculoar, oferind in prezent acest serviciu. Acum, 19 Boeing-uri 777-300ER (Extended Range) si un 777-200LR (Longer Range) ofera Wi-Fi la bord, celelalte modele (A330, 787 Dreamliner) urmand sa-l primeasca in curand.</p>

<p>Cu noul First, Emirates isi trece in cont doua premiere mondiale: geamuri virtuale pentru cele doua apartamente mediane, respectiv pozitia &#8220;Zero Gravity&#8221; &#8211; dezvoltata impreuna cu NASA &#8211; pentru fotolii. Pentru ca si pasagerii din mijloc sa se bucure de aceleasi imagini ca ocupantii apartamentelor laterale, Emirates a introdus geamurile virtuale, care redau in timp real inregistrarile High-Definition surprinse de camere amplasate in exterior. Am vazut &#8220;live&#8221; aceste geamuri virtuale la Dubai Airshow si din nou inainte de decolarea spre BRU si de zborul retur spre DXB. Confirmam ca imaginile sunt de o claritate exceptionala. Practic, daca nu stii ca geamurile respective sunt virtuale, cu greu iti poti da seama de acest lucru.</p>

<p>Telecomanda sistemului <strong>ice</strong> de divertisment la bord, sistem care ofera pana la 3500 de canale si optiuni, are un design elegant, iar calitatea premium poate fi simtita la fiecare atingere a butoanelor. Fiecare dintre cele 6 apartamente First Class (layout 1-1-1) vine cu propriul binoclu pentru ca pasagerii sa admire mai bine peisajele de la sol sau sa urmareasca alte aeronave aflate in zbor, asa cum am facut noi. Ecranele din First Class masoara 81 cm in diagonala, astfel ca puteti urmari cat se poate de bine decolarea si aterizarea prin camera frontala sau cea aflata dedesubtul aeronavei. Si tableta adiacenta (detasabila) permite redarea imaginilor surprinse de cele doua camere, asa ca puteti urmari momentele interesante ale zborului in doua locuri.</p>

<p>Iluminarea ambientala si temperatura fiecarui apartament pot fi schimbate individual de catre ocupanti, in acord cu preferintele si starea de moment. Amenity kit-urile Bulgari si pijamalele Hydra Active (oferite implicit pe zborurile de noapte si la cerere pe cele de zi) completeaza imaginea premium. Dupa caderea intunericului, stelutele proiectate pe plafonul de deasupra culoarelor (proiectie diferita de cea din Business Class) dau nastere ambiantei perfecte pentru un somn linistit. Gasim LED-uri si in mocheta din fiecare apartament, un alt detaliu al iluminarii ambientale. Nu in ultimul rand, noua cabina First este caracterizata de Ghaf, copacul national al Emiratelor Arabe Unite. Acesta apare atat la intrarea in avion, pe peretele din fata celor doua apartamente mediane, cat si in interiorul fiecare apartament, deasupra geamurilor si TV-ului.</p>

<p>Pentru pasagerii First si Business Class, biletul include si transferul gratuit catre / dinspre aeroport atat in orasul de plecare &#8211; Dubai, in cazul nostru &#8211; cat si la destinatie (Bruxelles). De la hotelul Palazzo Versace am ajuns la Terminalul 3 al aeroportului DXB International cu un BMW Seria 5 Touring foarte bine echipat (ca dotari), in timp ce transferul catre hotelul din Bruxelles s-a facut cu un Mercedes-Benz V-Class, cel mai bun monovolum premium din lume (impresii de condus). La retur, am ajuns in aeroportul Zaventem din Bruxelles cu un BMW Seria 7, iar in Dubai am revenit la Palazzo Versace la bordul unui Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Inainte de zborul spre BRU, am petrecut aproape o ora intr-unul dintre lounge-urile Emirates First Class din Terminalul 3, un lounge urias. Am luat micul dejun cu vedere spre avioanele parcate in fata terminalului, dupa care ne-am indreptat spre poarta de imbarcare.</p>

<p>Atat pe zborul spre Bruxelles, cat si pe cel retur am calatorit in apartamentul 1K, pe partea dreapta a aeronavei. Inainte de decolarea din DXB, copilotul austriac a venit sa ma salute si sa vorbim putin despre aviatie, ocazie cu care am aflat ca este insurat cu o romanca. Ce mica e lumea! La trecerea peste Bucuresti &#8211; acoperit de nori, din pacate, asa ca nu l-am putut fotografia &#8211; ascultand in casti LiveATC gratie conexiunii Wi-Fi la Internet, l-am auzit pe Christian schimband cateva cuvinte in romana cu controlorii de trafic aerian: &#8220;Multumesc, <strong>EK183</strong>!&#8221; A doua zi, pe zborul retur <strong>EK184</strong> spre Dubai, am avut parte de acelasi echipaj si am zburat cu A6-EQJ, la momentul respectiv cel mai nou Boeing 777-300ER din flota Emirates. Ca load factor, First Class-ul a fost plin pe ambele segmente: 6/6 apartamente ocupate.</p>
<p>Zborurile in noul Emirates First au reprezentat, fara indoiala, cea mai buna experienta First Class incercata pana acum. Daca ne gandim ca A380 ofera mai mult spatiu decat Boeing 777, experientele in noua cabina First vor fi si mai interesante <a href="https://twitter.com/emirates/status/984445881498980352?lang=en">la bordul superjumbo-urilor Emirates incepand din 2020</a>. Pe langa Bruxelles, noul First Emirates poate fi experimentat in prezent si catre Geneva.</p>

<p>Membru Star Allince, Croatia Airlines a zburat la Bucuresti si anul trecut, tot sezonier, incepand din 19 mai. Cei interesati sa ajunga la Zagreb &#8211; un oras superb din toate punctele de vedere: arhitectura, restaurante, monumente istorice, o cultura a bautului de cafea si locuitori deschisi, prietenosi &#8211; trebuie sa stie ca operatorul croat zboara la Bucuresti cu avioane De Havilland Canada Dash 8 Q400 (76 de locuri in doua clase) de 3 ori / saptamana: luni, miercuri si vineri. Ponderea locurilor Business Class / Economy variaza in functie de gradul de ocupare. La dus au fost 18 locuri in Business, iar la retur doar 8. Durata zborului spre Zagreb: o ora si 40 de minute.</p>

<p>Flota Croatia Airlines este compusa din 12 avioane &#8211; 4 Airbus-uri A319, doua A320 si 6 Dash 8 &#8211; plus doua CRJ 1000 inchiriate in regim wet-lease pe durata verii de la Air Nostrum (Spania). In 2021 si 2022, Croatia Airlines trebuie sa primeasca 4 A320neo de la Airbus. In 2008, Croatia Airlines a plasat o comanda pentru 4 A319, pe care a convertit-o, in urma cu 3 ani, in A320neo.</p>

<p>Recent, Guvernul croat a permis Croatia Airlines sa ia un imprumut de 8,5 milioane de Euro de la doua banci &#8211; Hrvatske poštanske banka, detinuta de Stat si Privredne banka Zagreb, privata &#8211; pentru a finanta mentenanta motoarelor. Imprumutul trebuie rambursat in rate trimestriale pana la sfarsitul lui 2022. Contrar unor articole aparute in presa, care afirmau ca operatorul croat este in pragul falimentului, oficialii companiei au declarat ca lucrurile nu stau asa. In 2016, Croatia Airlines a inregistrat un profit net de 3,382 milioane de Euro, iar in 2017 un profit net de 892.000 Euro.</p>

<p>Pentru 2018, conducerea companiei se asteapta la un rezultat pozitiv, chiar daca in primul trimestru al acestui an a inregistrat o pierdere de 11,4 milioane de euro. In aceeasi perioada, numarul pasagerilor a crescut cu 7,6% fata de primul trimestru 2017, ajungand la 354.390. Dintre acestia, 92.018 au calatorit pe zboruri interne (+12,3% fata de trimestrul I 2017), 259.486 pe zboruri externe (+6,4%) si 2886 pe zboruri charter (-18,2%). In primele 3 luni din 2018, load factor-ul a fost de 70,6% &#8211; o cifra record pentru Croatia Airlines &#8211; in crestere cu 7% fata de Q1 2017.</p>
<p>A fost a doua vizita a noastra in Croatia (prima data am descoperit Rovinj, acum cativa ani) si, cu siguranta, vom reveni. Daca inca nu ati vizitat aceasta tara, e timpul sa o faceti!</p>

<p>Despre noua ruta (a 4-a destinatie Qatar Airways din Thailand la momentul respectiv) <a href="http://aeronews.ro/doha-chiang-mai-incepand-de-astazi-cu-qatar-airways/">v-am spus in decembrie 2017</a>. Intre timp, mai precis pe 28 ianuarie, <a href="http://aeronews.ro/qatar-airways-doha-pattaya-cu-787-dreamliner-incepand-din-28-ianuarie/">Qatar Airways a inceput zborurile si spre Pattaya</a>, ruta operata cu Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Revenind la calatoria spre Chiang Mai, organizata de Qatar Airways si Autoritatea pentru Turism din Thailanda, iata impresiile colegului nostru, Ervin, legate de zborurile Qatar Airways si escalele din aeroportul Hamad International, Doha. Numeroase fotografii si informatii interesante legate de locurile vizitate in Chiang Mai, dar si impresii despre experientele traite acolo, in curand pe <a href="http://www.iconicstays.com">www.iconicstays.com</a></p>

<p>Inceputul lunii martie avea sa imi aduca o calatorie mult visata. Urma sa descopar &#8220;first hand&#8221; brand-ul Qatar Airways, una dintre cele <a href="https://skytraxratings.com/worlds-5-star-airlines">10 companii aeriene de 5 stele Skytrax la nivel mondial</a>. Destinatia era una exotica: Thailanda. Mai precis Chiang Mai (&#8220;New City&#8221;), situat la 700 km nord de Bangkok, o destinatie noua <a href="http://aeronews.ro/doha-chiang-mai-incepand-de-astazi-cu-qatar-airways/">adaugata in reteaua globala Qatar Airways pe 12 decembrie 2017</a>.</p>
<p><strong>Bucuresti &#8211; Doha cu Airbus A321 in Economy</strong></p>
<p>Dupa intalnirea cu ceilalti participanti la info trip si cu reprezentantul Qatar Airways Romania in aeroportul OTP, ne-am indreptat catre poarta de imbarcare. Urma sa zburam la Doha cu un Airbus A321 (A7-ADS, 15 ani). Propulsat de motoare V2500, aeronava a intrat in flota Qatar Airways in aprilie 2004 si ofera 12 locuri la Business Class (care devin paturi complet plate, in functie de layout-ul A321), respectiv 170 in Economy. A fost singurul segment in in Economy, celelalte 3 segmente fiind facute in Business Class. In 2017, Qatar Airways a fost desemnata &#8220;Cea mai buna companie aeriana din lume&#8221; de catre Skytrax, premiu primit pentru a 4-a oara.</p>

<p>Chiar daca urma sa zbor in Economy, aveam ocazia sa descopar acele lucruri care justifica premiile castigate de QR. Sistemul de divertisment la bord Oryx One ofera 500 de filme (Hollywood, Bollywood, desene animate), seriale, documentare, live TV. Rafinamentul Qatar Airways este prezent si la meniu. Totul este axat pe calitate si pe prospetime, astfel incat pasagerii sa se bucure de o experienta placuta in zbor. In aceste conditii, cele 4 ore si jumatate s-au scurs repede si intr-un mod placut, multumita si conversatiilor interesante avute cu colegii de grup.</p>

<p>Hello, Doha! Am aterizat la apus pe Hamad International Airport (HIA), unul dintre cele mai frumoase aeroporturi din Orientul Mijociu si din lume. Inaugurat in mai 2014, aeroportul a primit numeroase distinctii, printre care Skytrax Five Star Airport, World&#8217;s Best Airport, Best airport in Middle East &#8211; premii care fac ca orice comentariu sa fie de prisos. &#8220;Time flies when you&#8217;re having fun&#8221;, asa ca tranzitul spre zborul QR822 a trecut pe nesimtite.</p>

<p><strong>Doha &#8211; Chiang Mai cu A330-200, Business Class</strong></p>
<p>Pe acest segment, gratie upgrade-ului primit la check-in am zburat in Business Class, locul 1A. In 2017, Business Class-ul Qatar Airways a fost desemnat cel mai bun din lume in cadrul World Airline Awards. Zborul QR822 a fost operat cu un Airbus A330-200 (A7-ACK, 11.4 ani). Propulsat de motoare CF6-80, avionul ofera 24 de locuri la Business si 246 in Economy, intrarea in flota Qatar Airways avand loc in noiembrie 2006.</p>

<p>La bord am fost intampinat de staff-ul zambitor si de ambianta elegata, visiniul inchis fiind culoarea dominanta. Imbarcarea rapida ne-a oferit timp sa savuram sampania si mango-juice-ul. Primele impresii dupa ce m-am instalat pe locul 1A au fost legate de confortul scaunului, sistemul de divertisment la bord, cu un continut bogat, si amenity kit-ul Armani. La o scurta privire asupra meniului de bauturi am observat ca include sampanii Lanson, alaturi de vinuri alese, astfel ca amatorii bauturilor fine nu duc lipsa de optiuni. Meniul a la carte a inclus aperitivul, supa din bucataria thai cu lapte de cocos &#8211; usor picanta, dar foarte buna la gust &#8211; urmata de pieptul de pui cu legume si desertul din fructe. Dupa o masa delicioasa ne-a prins bine un film sau, ma rog, o parte din el. Somnul de doua ore pana la anuntul comandantului ca urmeaza coborarea spre Chiang Mai a facut ca cele 6 ore de zbor sa treaca foarte repede. Ajungeam la destinatie odihnit si pregatit sa descopar fascinanta Thailanda.</p>

<p><strong>Chiang Mai &#8211; Doha cu A330-200, Business Class</strong></p>
<p>Zborul retur la Doha (locul 1K, tot in Business Class) ne-a oferit aceeasi experienta placuta, la standarde inalte, marca Qatar Airways. Din Chiang Mai am zburat cu A7-ACE, un Airbus A330-200 de 14 ani ce a intrat in flota QR in aprilie 2004. Acum, configuratia aeronavei a fost usor diferita: 24 de locuri la Business si 248 in Economy. Zbor de zi, meniu diferit si mai bogat decat cel de pe zborul de noapte spre Chiang Mai. Am testat si Internetul, gratuit pentru 15 minute in limita a 10 MB. Costul pentru o ora era de aproximativ 12 USD, iar pentru intreg zborul 22 USD. Escala de 5 ore facuta la Doha ne-a oferit prilejul unui tur al aeroportului. Am trecut prin Oryx Lounge, unde accesul pasagerilor Economy Class costa 55 USD. Al Mourjan Business Lounge ofera o experienta luxoasa, care rivalizeaza cu orice hotel de top. Amplasat la al treilea nivel al aeroportului, Al Mourjan Lounge se adreseaza pasagerilor First si Business Class. Aici, simturile iti sunt rasfatate de o ambianta reconfortanta, aranjamente si ospitalitatea tipica Qatar Airways, totul intr-o frumoasa portretizare a patrimoniului arabic. Iar daca zburati la First si vreti sa va relaxati intr-un lounge exclusivist, optati pentru Al Safwa First Class Lounge.</p>

<p><strong>Doha &#8211; Bucuresti cu A321, Business Class</strong></p>
<p>M-am despartit de Hamad International Airport cu promisiunea de a reveni. Zborul retur catre Bucuresti a fost tot la clasa Business (locul 1A), acelasi A321 cu care am zburat spre Doha (A7-ADS) purtandu-ne intr-un zbor lin spre casa. Prima mea experienta cu Qatar Airways a fost peste asteptari. Daca nu ati zburat pana acum cu acest membru oneworld, va recomand sa o faceti cat de curand, atat pe rute scurt-curier, cat mai ales pe zboruri lung-curier. Client de lansare pentru Airbus A350-900, Qatar Airways a fost si client de lansare pentru A350-1000, primul A350k (inamtriculat A7-ANA) intrand in flota QR pe 20 februarie. <a href="http://aeronews.ro/video-qatar-airways-a-receptionat-primul-airbus-a350-1000-a7-ana/">Aeronews.ro a participat la evenimentul de la Toulouse in exclusivitate nationala (video)</a>.</p>

Marti a fost si ultima zi la conducerea Airbus pentru Fabrice Bregier.</strong><span id="more-39248"></span></p>
<p>Am inceput ziua cu o vizita pe linia de asamblare finala (FAL) pentru A350 XWB si am putut fotografia cateva A350-uri &#8220;in the making&#8221;, inclusiv primul exemplar Iberia. Am ajuns apoi la Airbus Leadership University, unde oficialii producatorului au sustinut o conferinta de presa legata de programul A350-1000, dar si de primul A350K Qatar Airways. Pana acum, Airbus a primit 169 de comenzi pentru A350-1000 din partea a 11 clienti, Cathay Pacific si United urmand sa-si primeasca primele exemplare pana la sfarsitul acestui an. La mijlocul anului va fi livrat si <a href="http://aeronews.ro/tap-air-portugal-promotie-si-primul-a330neo/">primul A330neo, TAP Air Portugal fiind client de lansare</a> pentru acest model.</p>

<p>Akbar Al Baker, CEO-ul Qatar Airways, a tinut capul de afis in partea a doua a conferintei (dupa pranz), alaturi de Fabrice Bregier si CEO-ul Rolls-Royce. Al Baker a declarat ca nu este interesat de A350ULR (Ultra Long Range &#8211; client de lansare: Singapore Airlines) si ca ar putea converti o parte dintre comenzile pe care Qatar le are pentru A350-900 in versiunea -1000 (QR a comandat deja 37 de unitati -1000). Sambata, primul A350K Qatar va debuta in serviciul comercial spre Heathrow, iar urmatoarele destinatii pentru noul avion vor fi de pe coasta de est a Statelor Unite si din Australia sau Noua Zeelanda. Anul acesta, Qatar Airways va receptiona inca 5 Airbus-uri A350-1000, livrarile acestei versiuni catre QR urmand sa creasca gradual incepand din 2019. Configuratia A350-1000 Qatar: 46 Business Class, 281 Economy. Orarul de zbor spre Londra (ore locale):</p>

<p>A350-1000 este si primul Airbus Qatar Airways ce ofera Qsuite, noul Business Class care a debutat anul trecut pe Boeing 777-300ER (<a href="http://aeronews.ro/on-board-777-300er-qatar-airways-doha-londra-in-noul-qsuite/">impresii de calatorie, aici</a>). Al Baker: &#8220;Nu vom instala Qsuite pe Dreamliner pentru ca avionul este prea ingust pentru asa ceva, insa vom oferi noi scaune la Business Class pe 787, scaune ce vor oferi intimitate totala. Acum, 15 avioane din flota noastra ofera Qsuite, primul A350-1000 fiind al 16-lea. Vom instala Qsuite si pe Airbus-urile A350-900 existente in serviciul comercial (23 la numar) pentru a oferi o experienta unitara pasagerilor nostri premium.&#8221; In ceea ce priveste livrarile avioanelor noi si intarzierile care apar (primul A350-1000 QR trebuia livrat in decembrie 2017, insa probleme legate de instalarea Qsuite au amanat livrarea pana in februarie 2018), Al Baker a declarat: &#8220;Ma astept ca producatorii sa livreze avioanele conform programului meu, nu invers!&#8221;</p>

Ieri, 21 februarie, primul A350-1000 Qatar Airways a ajuns la Doha, unde a fost intampinat cu salutul tunurilor cu apa si cu un imens steag al Qatar-ului. <p>Pe aceasta ruta, Turkish Airlines &#8211; membru Star Alliance &#8211; foloseste Boeing 777-300ER. Exemplarele TK sunt configurate in doua clase de calatorie: 49 de locuri la Business Class ce devin paturi complet plate (layout 2-3-2) si 300 de locuri in Economy, layout 3-3-3. Desi aceasta recenzie se refera la zborul Buenos Aires-Istanbul, o sa mai fac cateva referiri si la zborul Istanbul-Buenos Aires. Zborul Istanbul &#8211; Sao Paulo dureaza in jur de 13 ore si 30 de minute, iar Sao Paulo-Buenos Aires dureaza doua ore si 20 de minute. Sunt un mare fan al zborurilor foarte lungi deoarece stiu ca am timp sa ma bucur de catering, de programele de divertisment la bord si, in acelasi timp, pot sa dorm suficient de mult ca sa ajung la destinatie fresh.</p>

<p>Imbarcarea la Buenos Aires a fost destul de eficienta si placuta si am reusit sa fiu primul pasager la bord, asa ca am putut sa fac niste poze atunci cand avionul era gol. Stilul cabinei este curat si aerisit, cu pereti decorati cu simboluri turcesti si lumina ambientala. Scaunele in Business Class sunt configurate 2-3-2. Din pacate, acest layout nu ofera access direct la culoar tuturor pasagerilor, insa nu mi s-a parut un inconvenient prea mare. In ciuda acestei configuratii, Business Class-ul TK este un produs OK care ofera saltea cu un suport foarte bun, o perna cu suport lombar si functie de masaj. Am reusit sa dorm fara probleme aproximativ 8 ore. Un avantaj major al acestor tipuri de scaune este suportul pentru picioare, care este foarte lat.</p>

<p>Zborul face o oprire in Sao Paulo pentru a schimba echipajul si catering-ul la bord. Pasagerii care vin din Buenos Aires si continua calatoria spre Istanbul stau in avion in timp ce echipa de curatenie pregateste cabina pentru zborul de 13 ore peste Atlantic. Este o imagine pe care nu o vezi in fiecare zi ca pasager: dupa ce noul echipaj se imbarca, remarci ground staff-ul alergand ca niste furnici prin avion cu carucioarele de mancare, aspirator, perne, etc. Este prima data cand am asistat curatarea unui avion in timp ce ma aflam la bord. Echipa a incercat sa faca ordine in cabina, dar curatarea scaunului este, din punctul meu de vedere, absolut necesara.</p>

<p>Inainte de decolare, Turkish Airlines le ofera pasagerilor din Business Class limonada (delicioasa!) sau apa. Stiam ca o sa fie un zbor lung, asa ca am cerut si un pahar de sampanie, iar insotitorul de bord a fost incantat sa deschida o sticla de sampanie si sa-mi puna un pahar. Imbarcarea s-a terminat destul de rapid si in cateva minute deja am facut pushback, asa ca a trebuit sa beau rapid paharul de sampanie.</p>
<p>Ajunsi la altitudinea de 10.000 de metri, ni s-a servit cina pentru zborul Buenos Aires –Sao Paulo, un zbor scurt de aproximativ doua ore. Cum nu imi era foarte foame, am decis sa aleg pastele, care au fost OK. Pentru zborul Sao Paulo-Istanbul, tinand cont ca ora de plecare este la 3 dimineata, se serveste prima data micul dejun, iar cina este servita inainte de sosirea la Istanbul. Micul dejun se comanda pe o foaie pe care poti sa incercuiesti ce doresti sa bei sau sa mananci. De micul dejun nu m-am putut bucura pentru ca eram foarte obosit. Cina a fost OK, cu o friptura de vita care a venit foarte frumos aranjata pe farfurie si un aperitiv compus din Turkish Mezze care, din punctul meu de vedere, este foarte bun, insa mi-as fi dori sa fie adugat si humus pe farfurie. Imi place foarte mult ideea micutelor lumanari electrice, care dau nastere unei atmosfere placute si foarte relaxante la bordul avionului.</p>

<p>La cina am baut un pahar de vin rosu Malbec, un vin argentinian &#8211; ca doar veneam de acolo. De precizat ca Turkish Airlines ofera un meniu foarte extins pentru bauturi. La dus am incercat oferta de vin, iar cel francez a fost cel mai placut. Serviciul la bord a fost OK si eficient, desi mi-as fi droit ca echipajul sa treaca mai des cu bauturi racoritoare si apa si poate sa zambeasca mai mult.</p>
<p>Pasagerii Business Class primesc gratuit casti care anuleaza zgomotele de fundal. Consider ca acestea sunt cele mai bune casti audio oferite de o companie aeriana! Inainte de aterizare, castile sunt stranse, iar casti mai ieftine sunt distribuite doritorilor. Amenity kit-ul contine periuta de dinti, masca pentru somn si sosete. Mi-as fi dorit ca TK sa ofere si apa de gura. Pe zborul Istanbul &#8211; Sao Paulo ne-a fost oferit un kit Furla, iar la retur un kit Bentley.</p>

<p>Un lucru care m-a bucurat foarte mult a fost prezenta Wi-Fi-ului la bord. Pentru pasagerii Business Class, accesul este gratuit si viteza de navigare pe Internet &#8211; destul de buna. Am putut sa vizualizez inclusiv videoclipuri pe YouTube si sa scriu cateva email-uri in acelasi timp fara nici o problema. Un lucru care m-a surprins extrem de placut a fost divertismentul la bord. Ecranele sunt foarte mari, iar continutul este de clasa mondiala, cu foarte multe filme si seriale noi si un meniu foarte usor de folosit, user-friendly.</p>
<p>Concluzionand, Turkish Airlines mi s-a parut o companie aeriana foarte buna, cu servicii peste medie si meniuri delicioase, confort sporit la bord si un hub foarte apropiat de Bucuresti, ceea ce faciliteaza calatoriile in toata lumea. Pot spune ca Turkish Airlines este un concurent redutabil pentru operatorii din Orientul Mijlociu (Emirates, Qatar si Etihad), ceea ce ma bucura foarte mult. Aceasta competitie acerba sporeste atentia acordata pasagerilor si confortului de catre companiile aeriene, atat la sol, cat si deasupra norilor.</p>

<p><a href="http://aeronews.ro/primul-boeing-737-max-flydubai-ajunge-la-bucuresti-pe-5-ianuarie-2018/">Din 5 ianuarie 2018, flydubai va zbura cu 737 MAX si la Bucuresti</a>.</p>
<p>2017 a fost un alt an in care v-am adus, asa cum v-am obisnuit din aprilie 2011 si pana acum, impresii de la fata locului participand la mai multe evenimente de anvergura din aviatie si zboruri inaugurale. Pasionati de aviatie 24/7, ne-am gandit sa terminam anul tot deasupra norilor, participand la zborul inaugural flydubai spre Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. A fost, de fapt, o reluare a rutei, flydubai deservind aeroportul JRO pana in ianuarie 2015. <a href="http://aeronews.ro/din-15-decembrie-flydubai-va-zbura-la-kilimanjaro/">In mod normal, ruta este operata de 6 ori / saptamana cu 737-800</a> (flydubai are 56 de exemplare in flota), insa zborul inaugural a fost operat cu 737 MAX 8. Mai precis <strong>A6-MAX</strong>, primul MAX din cele 5 receptionate pana acum. <a href="http://aeronews.ro/video-la-bordul-primului-boeing-737-max-8-flydubai-a6-max-echipat-cu-noile-cabine/">Este exact avionul la bordul caruia am urcat la mijlocul lunii noiembrie cu ocazia Dubai Airshow 2017</a>, de unde v-am adus si in acest an (ca si la editia din 2013) informatii &#8220;la cald&#8221; &#8211; 33 de grade Celsius, mai precis.</p>

<p>Am plecat din Bucuresti spre Dubai pe 14 decembrie la bordul unui 737-800 in Business Class (<a href="http://aeronews.ro/on-board-flydubai-business-class/">impresii de calatorie in aceasta cabina</a>). Catre / dinspre Kilimanjaro urma sa zburam in noul Business Class care a debutat, alaturi de noua cabina Economy, pe 737 MAX la airshow, asa ca aveam sa simtim si mai bine diferentele dintre actuala cabina Business (12 locuri, layout 2-2) si cea noua (10 locuri care devin paturi complet plate, lungi de 2 metri, layout 2-2, 1-1, 2-2). Cele aproape 5 ore pana in Dubai au trecut pe nesimtite, mai ales ca am zburat langa o tanara pasionata de aviatie si calatorii, asa ca am schimbat numeroase impresii din cele doua domenii. Am realizat, inca o data, cat de mult conteaza sa ai un partener de calatorie cool pe zborurile mediu si lung-curier, mai ales daca vrei sa socializezi cu cel de langa tine.</p>

<p>Am ajuns in Dubai si, dupa cateva ore petrecute alaturi de un bun prieten in oras, am revenit pe aeroportul DXB dupa miezul noptii pentru a ne intalni in Business Lounge-ul flydubai din Terminalul 2 cu restul participantilor la zborul inaugural: 4 jurnalisti din emirat si doi oficiali flydubai. Dupa o jumatate de ora petrecuta aici ne-am indreptat spre poarta de imbarcare dedicata pasagerilor Business Class flydubai, aflata la mica distanta de lounge, si am ajuns la avion cu microbuzul dedicat pasagerilor Business. Apropiindu-ne de A6-MAX am observat din nou cele trei detalii care-l scot in evidenta fata de un 737-800: garda la sol marita pentru a face loc motoarelor CFM LEAP-1B mai mari (diametru 176 cm versus 154 cm pentru CFM56-7 regasite la 737NG), winglets-urile AT (Advanced Technology) &#8211; standard pe MAX si optionale pentru 737-800, respectiv nacelele motoarelor, zimtate la partea din spate, ce amintesc de fratii mai mari 787 Dreamliner si 747-8 Intercontinental. A6-MAX ne-a primit calduros, cu insotitori de bord zambitori si Boeing Sky Interior, dotare standard pentru MAX si optionala pentru 737NG.</p>

<p>Dupa ce in noiembrie 2013, in cadrul Dubai Airshow a plasat o comanda pentru 76 de Boeing-uri 737 MAX (+25 de optiuni) si alte 737-800 pe langa cele comandate anterior, <a href="http://aeronews.ro/video-flydubai-comanda-inca-225-de-boeing-uri-737-max/">flydubai a anuntat la Dubai Airshow 2017 o comanda pentru 225 de Boeing-uri 737 MAX 8, MAX 9 si MAX 10</a>. Valoarea comenzii: 27 de miliarde de dolari (preturi de lista). MAX-urile flydubai isi primesc interiorul in Amman si ofera 10 locuri la Business plus 156 in Economy. flydubai devine astfel <strong>primul operator din lume care ofera paturi complet plate la Business Class pe Boeing 737</strong>, noile scaune RECARO din Economy fiind regasite, de obicei, la avioane widebody.</p>

<p>Oficialii flydubai ne-au spus ca seat pitch-ul in Business Class este de 45 inch, in timp ce la Economy avem un seat pitch de 30 inch. Si tot aici, spatarele se inclina cu 3 inci fata de 2 inci pentru actualele scaune din Economy. Spre deosebire de actuala cabina, noul interior Business dispune de masute dintr-o singura bucata, mai solide, actualele fiind realizate din doua sectiuni care se pliaza in momentul introducerii in cotiera. Culorile folosite la noile cabine Business si Economy pe 737 MAX sunt moderne, fresh, si se asorteaza bine cu nuantele iluminarii ambientale – asa cum stiti, flydubai a fost clientul de lansare pentru Boeing Sky Interior.</p>

<p>Pe 737 MAX 8, ecranele touch ale sistemului de divertisment la bord (IFE) sunt mai mari decat cele regasite la 737-800, atat in Business Class, cat si la Economy. Pasagerii Business au la dispozitie si o telecomanda cu Touch Pad, integrata in cotiera, suprafata tactila oferind un feedback rapid. Sistemul de divertisment 737 MAX vine cu o interfata complet noua, cu fonturi elegante care ne-au adus aminte de obsesia lui Steve Jobs pentru detalii, si raspunde mai bine la comenzi decat cel de pe 737-800. In noua cabina Business, mufa pentru casti a fost mutata de la baza ecranului langa umar. Astfel, vecinul de la geam poate iesi mai usor pe culoar, fara ca tu sa fii nevoit sa intrerupi vizionarea filmului. Si tot la nivelul umarului regasim un suport de tip &#8220;pop-out&#8221; pentru agatatul castilor Phitek (casti cu atenuarea zgomotelor ambientale), port-ul USB, priza, un spatiu de depozitare si lampa circulara pentru citit. Comenzile pentru rabatarea spatarului si obtinerea patului complet plat sunt pozitionate tot pe cotiera, in apropierea genunchiului, langa telecomanda.</p>

<p>O noutate adusa de scaunele din Business Class: centura de siguranta este cu prindere in 3 puncte (asemeni celor dintr-un autoturism), spre deosebire de centura cu prindere in doua puncte regasita la fotoliile Business Class de pe 737-800. In noul Economy, centurile au ramas cu prindere in doua puncte, iar tetierele sunt reglabile pe inaltime. In plus, extremitatile tetierelor pot fi stranse catre interior pentru gasirea pozitiei ideale in timpul zborului. Ati remarcat bulinele colorate care decoreaza spatarele scaunelor din Economy? Mai mult decat un simplu detaliu estetic, aceste buline se regasesc si pe noua uniforma a insotitoarelor de bord, pe camasa.</p>

<p>Din Dubai spre Kilimanjaro am avut locul 1A, iar la retur (zbor cu escala de o ora in Dar es Salaam) am calatorit pe Throne Seat &#8211; 2B, care va deveni, fara indoiala, cel mai cautat loc din avion (alaturi de 2E). Aceste doua fotolii nu au vecini (layout 1-1), astfel ca senzatia unui spatiu premium, apropiat de cel din First Class, este si mai accentuata decat la celelalte locuri din noua cabina Business. Chiar si persoanele inalte, de aproape 2 metri, vor avea suficient loc la picioare cand scaunul este in pozitie normala, inclinat sau rabatat la orizontala (pat). Fotoliul este inconjurat de cateva spatii de depozitare, iar in partea dreapta a spatarului exista un mic dulapior pentru depozitarea obiectelor personale (trusa de calatorie, telefon, carti, iPad, etc). Pentru reviste exista un spatiu vertical in vecinatatea piciorului drept. Glumind, oficialii flydubai care ne-au insotit pe zbor spuneau ca nu ar fi fost rau (pentru incasarile companiei) ca cele doua Throne Seats sa poata fi selectate contra unei sume aditionale comparativ cu restul locurilor din noua cabina premium. Nu este cazul, asa ca daca veti zbura la Business Class cu 737 MAX 8 flydubai, trebuie sa fiti rapizi la check-in-ul online pentru a prinde unul dintre cele doua locuri, 2B si 2E.</p>

<p>Nu in ultimul rand, 737 MAX 8 impresioneaza prin silentiozitate. Din acest punct de vedere, &#8220;Da linistea la MAXim!&#8221; ar putea fi un slogan care i s-ar potrivi de minune. Atat la decolare si la aterizare, dar mai ales in regim de croaziera, sesizezi imediat ca MAX este mai silentios decat 737-800. Boeing sustine ca motoarele noului 737 MAX sunt cu 40% mai silentioase decat cele regasite la 737NG si la alte avioane de dimensiuni comparabile, lucru benefic atat pentru pasageri (mai ales pe zborurile de peste 5-6 ore), cat si pentru locatarii de langa aeroporturi.</p>

<p>Survolul peste The Palm Jumeirah efectuat imediat dupa decolarea din Dubai (ora locala 2:40 AM) si rasaritul surprins in zbor spre Tanzania au fost completate la retur de un apus magic in apropierea coastei Emiratelor Arabe Unite. Nu au lipsit nici salutul traditional al tunurilor cu apa dupa aterizarea in Kilimanjaro si nici primirea calduroasa facuta de gazdele africane. Pe masura ce alte MAX-uri vor intra in flota flydubai &#8211; operatorul trebuie sa primeasca 8 exemplare in 2018 &#8211; Kilimanjaro va vedea mai des acest avion. Astfel, din 1 august 2018 flydubai va zbura de 3 ori / saptamana cu 737 MAX 8 spre JRO, iar celelate trei frecvente vor ramane cu 737-800.</p>
