
In addition to the first two Boeing 787-9s already in service with Austrian Airlines, 9 more will gradually replace the existing 767 and 777 jets by 2028. The integration of 11 Boeing 787-9 aircraft over the next 4 years is an important signal for Austria as a business location and for the Vienna hub.

With the new Dreamliner, Austria’s home carrier is getting one of the most innovative long-haul models on the market. The comfort on-board is also impressive and combines Austrian hospitality with a new, innovative travelling experience. On long-haul flights with the Boeing 787, passengers also enjoy in-flight Internet access.
On board the 787 Dreamliner, passengers can look forward to the “Tastefully Austrian” long-haul menu concept. The Do & Co Flying Chefs and the “Viennese coffee house service on board”, for example, provide culinary delights in Business Class, while there is also a choice of different menus in Premium Economy or Economy travel class.
OE-LPL was the first 787-9 Dreamliner to join the fleet, followed by OE-LPM.
