airBaltic reports higher ACMI and charter operations in 2025

airBaltic reports an increase of its wet-lease activities in 2025, operating 30 000 ACMI flights, a 14.5% year-on-year increase. The airline’s average ACMI fleet in operation increased to 14 aircraft, a 19% rise compared with 2024, reaching a seasonal peak of up to 20 aircraft during the summer months.

Wet-lease operations accounted for 20% of total revenue in 2025, underlining the growing role of ACMI flying alongside airBaltic’s extensive scheduled services from the Baltics, which remain the core of its business.

ACMI capacity offering

airBaltic continues to expand its ACMI capacity to support European airlines seeking short and long-term aircraft availability. In 2025, wet-lease operations were conducted with Lufthansa Group and other European carriers, helping airlines maintain network stability during seasonal peaks and operational constraints. The airline remains establish new partnerships, offering flexible capacity solutions to support carriers across Europe and beyond.

ACMI flying is performed using airBaltic’s modern Airbus A220-300 fleet, combining a comfortable and fuel-efficient aircraft with experienced flight and cabin crews to deliver consistent and reliable operations. Customized catering options are available in both Economy and Business Class, subject to prior agreement, allowing product alignment with customer requirements.

airBaltic operates a single-type Airbus A220-300 fleet with Economy and Business Class cabins. The Business class cabin follows a European-style layout with free middle seat, featuring an adjustable divider for enhanced privacy and flexible cabin arrangements, allowing tailored solutions for ACMI and charter operations.
