Air India resumes flights to Rome’s Fiumicino Airport

Air India inaugurated its new 4x weekly non-stop service to Rome Fiumicino, touching down at the Italian capital city after nearly 6 years. Rome is Air India’s 8th gateway in Mainland Europe and the second destination in Italy, after Milan.

On March 25th, flight AI123 departed Delhi at 1332, landing at Rome Fiumicino in the evening to a warm welcome from dignitaries from the Indian Embassy in Italy, Fiumicino airport officials, and Air India staff.

Air India flies between Delhi and Rome 4 times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays – using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners. The aircraft features a two-class cabin configuration with 18 fully flat beds in Business Class and 241 seats in Economy.

Air India offers non-stop connections from India to 8 points in Mainland Europe, namely Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Milan, Paris, Rome, Vienna, and Zurich.
