The anniversary promotion applies to selected short- and medium-haul routes within the Condor city network as well as to popular vacation destinations across Europe. Classic holiday destinations such as the Balearic Islands, Italy, and Greece, as well as new city destinations such as London, are available at anniversary fares from different departure points across the Condor network.
“For 70 years, Condor has brought travelers to their favorite places around the globe and connected continents, cultures, and people. Millions of travelers have made this story possible and have accompanied Condor over the decades,” said Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor. “Our 70th anniversary is therefore above all an opportunity to celebrate together with our guests and to say thank you.”
Condor’s story began in 1956 with the launch of its tourist flight operations: On March 29, 1956, the first flight departed aboard a Vickers Viking on a round trip to the ‘Holy Land’ and Egypt. Already in its first year of operations, Mallorca and the Canary Island of Tenerife were included in the flight schedule, places that remain among the airline’s most popular vacation destinations to this day.
