With these new flights to Heraklion, Wizz Air offers low-cost travel to Greece, while Vienna becomes even more accessible, with 5 weekly flights from the Romanian capital, the 4th city with Wizz Air operations to Vienna, after Cluj- Napoca, Suceava and Constanța, the last one announced in May. Paulina Gosk, Wizz Air’s Corporate Communications Manager, said: “Wizz Air continues to expand its network in Romania with two new routes announced today from Bucharest to Vienna and Heraklion. We want our passengers to enjoy the new travel opportunities, at the same time, to feel safe and comfortable. We have implemented a number of additional health and safety measures for passengers and crew on board, in accordance with government regulations, so that we can continue to provide a quality travel experience at attractive and low rates. ”
Today’s announcement comes as the new era of sanitized travel begins at Wizz Air. The airline recently announced a series of increased hygiene measures to ensure the health and safety of customers and crew. As part of these new protocols, throughout the flight, both cabin crew and passengers are required to wear masks, with cabin crew also wearing gloves. Wizz Air aircraft are regularly subjected to a high-performance nebulization process with an antiviral solution and, as a result of WIZZ’s strict daily cleaning schedule, all aircraft are disinfected overnight with the same antiviral solution. Each passenger receives sanitary napkins upon entering the aircraft, the magazines on board have been removed from the aircraft, and contactless payment is recommended for all purchases on board. Passengers are asked to follow the physical deterrence measures introduced by local health authorities and are encouraged to make all pre-flight online purchases (eg hold baggage, WIZZ Priority, etc.) to minimize any possible physical contact at the airport.
