To celebrate the occasion, an exclusive souvenir was waiting at every seat: a specially designed ‘Remove before 1st Flight’ tag with an engraved plaque bearing the individual seat number. This personal souvenir is intended to make the first Airbus A350 long-haul flight unforgettable for all guests.

Edelweiss is now flying the new Airbus A350 three times a week from Zurich to Las Vegas. The next stage of the fleet modernisation will follow soon: the second of a total of six Airbus A350 aircraft is expected in Zurich at the end of June. It will be deployed daily on the Zurich-Vancouver route from 1 July.

The Airbus A350 marks the beginning of a new era for Edelweiss on long-haul routes. The aircraft will gradually replace the existing Airbus A340 fleet. The modern wide-body aircraft sets new standards in several areas: it consumes around 25 per cent less fuel, emits correspondingly less CO₂ and is up to 50 per cent quieter than its predecessor.
