During the presentation of the annual figures, CEO Pieter Elbers confirmed that KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will introduce a “real” Premium Economy cabin on its long-haul fleet within a year.

Pieter Elbers: “Our North Atlantic partners Air France, Delta and Virgin Atlantic already have Premium Economy. If KLM does not have that, then you have product differences that you would rather not want for the customer.” Elbers didn’t give any more details on the new product.
Elbers estimated that the new product would debut within a year, at the soonest. “Drawings must be made, certification started, things ordered, and a supplier must be chosen. At the moment, things like the coronavirus demand extra attention from us. But once you take a serious look at implementing such a class, you won’t take many years to do it.” via luchtvaartnieuws.nl
