Lufthansa Technik Philippines broke ground on its new base maintenance facility at Clark International Airport. Backed by an investment in the three-digit-million-dollar range, it is scheduled to begin operations in 2028 and expected to create around 1,200 highly skilled jobs.

The center for widebody maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services will be built on a 157,000-square-meter site, complementing the company’s long-standing presence in Manila, around 100 kilometers away from Clark. With the additional facility in Clark, Lufthansa Technik intends to add the Airbus A350 and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner to its portfolio.
As one of the major aviation infrastructure projects in Clark, the facility will significantly expand Lufthansa Technik Philippines’ base maintenance capacity and will include, among other features, a paint shop and workshops for non-destructive testing. During construction and ramp-up, the company will draw on its technical expertise and proven processes established at its facility at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila, where it has successfully provided comprehensive MRO services for more than 25 years.
