11.7 million passengers travelled aboard LOT Polish Airlines aircraft in 2025, an increase of 9.4% vs 2024. LOT Polish Airlines launched 9 new destinations, announced new routes to be inaugurated in 2026 and strengthened its presence in the individual regions of Poland.

Thanks to a continuous stream of orders, the airline’s fleet will grow by 55 aircraft in the coming years, and the first Boeing 737 MAX-8 planes of Poland’s national carrier sporting new cabin layouts are already taking to the skies. The quality of services offered by LOT Polish Airlines has been recognised by the industry – the carrier has been awarded a 4-star rating by Skytrax.
LOT Polish Airlines has ordered a record-breaking number of 55 new aircraft, with an option to purchase 44 more planes. Deliveries of the Boeing 737 MAX-8 model commenced at the turn of the year – 13 jets will enter the flightline by mid-2026. In the last quarter of 2026, the long-haul fleet will be expanded by two Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners. At the end of 2025, the carrier began work on the deployment of Airbus A220 jets, which will eventually form the core of its regional fleet.
“These results are definitely something we can be proud of – we carried 11.7 million passengers, nearly 10% more than the year before, launched 9 new destinations and strengthened our presence in the regions. Thanks to launch of the largest fleet modernisation programme in the airline’s history, a total of 55 new aircraft will be delivered, with an option to purchase 44 more. As a result, by the end of the decade, LOT Polish Airlines will be operating one of the youngest aircraft fleets in Europe. Striving to improve customers’ experience, LOT Polish Airlines has recently commissioned refurbished Business Lounges in Warsaw. Their interiors are consistent with the design trend pioneered by the LOT Business Lounge in Chicago. These changes and the upgrade of the on-board product have been appreciated by passengers and industry representatives. At the Le Bourget Air Show, LOT Polish Airlines was awarded the title of the region’s best airline and was ranked a 4-star airline by Skytrax.
The high level of comfort and the new visual identity have also made their way to the aircraft – all new Boeing 737 MAX-8 jets are equipped with modern seats with USB-C ports, mobile device holders and six-way adjustable headrests. They also sport a completely refreshed interior design.
In 2025, Poland’s national carrier launched 9 new routes – to Lisbon, Thessaloniki, Reykjavik, Marrakech, Stavanger, Rovaniemi, Malta, Paris-Orly from Kraków and Barcelona from Radom.
The airline also announced that 15 more connections are scheduled for inauguration in 2026. Thanks to the newly acquired Boeing 787-8 aircraft, the carrier will be able to launch the long-awaited long-haul routes – a service to San Francisco will commence in May, to be followed by Bangkok by the end of the year. In addition, the carrier has already launched flights to Malaga and connected Gdańsk with Istanbul. Bologna, Porto, Heraklion, Palma de Mallorca, and Almaty will soon be added to the connection network as well. In keeping with the carrier’s expansion at regional airports, LOT Polish Airlines will soon connect Kraków with Madrid, Barcelona and Rome, while passengers departing Gdańsk will be able to reach Istanbul, Brussels, Oslo and Bergen.
