The A321XLR maintains the high comfort standards characteristic of other long-haul aircraft in the Iberia fleet, such as the A350. It is equipped with the new Airspace cabin and features two classes, Business and Economy, with a total of 182 seats.

This, along with the recently launched route to Recife and the service to São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, means Iberia now serves 4 airports within Brazil, making it the airline with the most domestic destinations in Latin America.

It’s worth noting that Iberia also launched flights to Recife, another city in northeastern Brazil, on December 13th. This route offers similar capacity, with three weekly flights and around 30,000 seats available in the first six months of the year.

Brazil, after showing a growth of 27% last year, making it the fastest-growing destination in Iberia’s entire long-haul network, will have a further increase of 25% in its capacity in the first half of 2026, far exceeding the almost 600,000 seats it offered in 2025.
