Finnair continues to grow its European network and adds 12 new destinations to its offering for summer 2026 from its Helsinki hub.

Routes to Alta, Catania, Florence, Kos and Valencia were announced earlier this year, and Finnair now opens to sale flights to Kuressaare in Estonia, Luxembourg, Stavanger in Norway, Thessaloniki in Greece, Tirana in Albania, Turin in Italy and Umeå in Sweden.
Finnair also responds to the demand for Lapland and starts direct flights from three European cities – Brussels, Paris, and Zurich – to Finnish Lapland in winter 2026. These direct flights complement Finnair’s broad offering of daily connections to Lapland via its Helsinki hub. With these additions, Finnair’s network for 2026 comprises of a total of 93 European destinations, 11 Asian destinations, seven North American destinations (including Toronto, which opens in summer 2026), and two destinations in the Middle East.
Of the new destinations, Stavanger complements Finnair’s Norway offering and offers corporate travellers smooth connection to Finnair’s Asian network. The flight is operated via Arlanda, capturing also flows between Sweden and Norway. Umeå strengthens Finnair’s presence in Sweden, and is with a triangle flight via Vaasa, catering also for the local travellers between the two cities by the Gulf of Bothnia.
Luxembourg adds to Finnair’s extensive network of European capitals, and attracts both business and leisure travelers, offering for example access to hiking adventures in the Ardennes.
Finnair’s Mediterranean offering gets additions from Thessaloniki, which is the second largest city in Greece, offering both city life, historical attractions and beaches, and acts as a gateway to Greek Islands. Turin in Northern Italy offers travelers both cultural attractions and access to mountains. Tirana in Albania is a rapidly developing city destination close to the coast and marks a new country for Finnair. Kuressaare adds to Finnair’s Baltic offering and this island destination in Estonia is ideal for leisure travellers seeking for nature experiences and rich cultural heritage.
This capacity addition is enabled by expanding Finnair’s current wetlease partnership with Danish Jettime.
In winter 2026, Finnair will offer direct flights from Brussels and Zurich to Kittilä twice a week. Kittilä is a lively municipality located above the Article Circle, and famous for the Levi ski resort and its unique nature offering a variety of outdoor experiences. There will also be two weekly flights from Paris to Rovaniemi, the Arctic capital and the official hometown of Santa Claus that combines northern nature with urban surroundings.
The direct connections from key European hubs offer Finnair customers more choice for reaching these bucket list destinations and further strengthen Finnair’s position as the only airline operating to Finnish Lapland on a consistent, year-round, basis.
